Jun 25, 2017 - 09:21

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Religious scholars say people should promote the culture of reconciliation on the occasion of Eid as advised by the teaching of Islam and they are considered as heroes.

Qazi Mohammad Hassan Haqyar, a religious scholar, told Pajhwok Afghan News during an exclusive interview two people should not biased and angry with each other for more than three days.

He said Eid days were time of happiness and celebration and the Prophet Mohammad Peace Be Upon Him (PBUH) asked Muslims to reconcile on the occasion of Eid if they remained opposed to each other in the past.

Some residents of Kabul also believed those who did not talked to each other should reconcile on the occasion of Eid.

Ruqaya, 70, the resident of old Kabul City, said: “Due to some family disputes I had verbal clash with my sister last year and stopped talking to her since then, but now I decided to go to my sister house with my family and reconcile.”

She said she is older than her sister but still she preferred to go to her house and be ahead of her in the process of reconciliation.

Hafeezullah, the resident of Qala-i-Zaman Khan locality, said he cut of ties with his brother since one year, adding reconciling was not weakness but it demonstrated the bravery and greatness of an individual.

He said he reconciled with his brother three months back but his brother tried to deteriorate the relations again.

“On the first day of Eid I would try again to reconcile with my brother to be bless with the mercy and kindness of Allah,” he said.

Muslims celebrate two Eid in a year  the Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha each for three days with religious zeal and enthusiasm.
